We received a large donation of yarn from this wonderful group of women last week. Below is a little about the group and a picture of Mary who has recently passed away and I am sure will be truly missed. I have not met these lovely women but they seem like a very loving and caring group.
The group was started by Sonja West who taught knitting at the Windsor Recreation Center many years ago. We meet twice a month in each others homes for fellowship and to share projects and knitting tips. There are all levels of knitters in the group of about a dozen women. Mary Evans is the lady who passed. She was a happy and sweet person and she is greatly missed by all of us. I have included a picture of Mary with two of her grandchildren.
